We solved a sheet of word problems and after that we had to make a pie graph based on our chosen word problem. Here is mine!

WALT: sorting fractions.

The image above shows fractions divided into columns. The first column contains fractions that are closest to zero, the second column contains fractions that are closest to half, the third column contains fractions that are closest to whole and the last column contains fractions that are can not go in any of the previous columns. one of the hardest fractions to order was 1/3 because it may seem that it fit's into the closer to 0 column but know, 1/3 is closer two half because 1.5 is half of three so it is only a 0.5 away from half but 1 away from zero.

WALT: fractions

We have been learning about fractions this is a 6 by 6 grid divided into fractions. The dark blue covers 12 squares witch is one third of this grid of 36, also Each patch of light blue covers 6 squares, one sixth or 2 twelfths of 36. The patches of yellow cover one twelfth of the grid and any patch of light blue combined with the patch of dark blue is one half of the grid 18 squares.
