Every one in the class split into groups to play a song on the ukulele here is a video of my group playing I'm yours. The most challenging thing for my group was keeping in time and the most challenging thing for me was learning the G chord.

Weekly weekend journal

This weekend on Saturday my mum ran the half marathon to West port. Her time was 2 hours 59 seconds. to get to west port to cheer her before the road closed we had to leave at 5:30 in the morning so we had breakfast in West port. later we went to one of the beaches in punakaiki for lunch. afterwards we went to to my aunt's place to see our cousin and have dinner.

2016 year reflection

My favorite parts of the year include all the EOCT activities we have done and I enjoy all the activities the teachers set for us because they make them really fun. I got better in all areas (maths, writing, reading excreta) because I challenged my self and didn't give up. The Chromebook this year is a new experience for all but for me I think learning with the Chromebooks isn't any better or any worse, but it also lets me be more creative with my learning witch is why I find it interesting. I really enjoyed experimenting with the Chromebook and finding out what it could do, some of my discoveries where called: scratch,  stop motion animator, but I found heaps more than that.    

Overnight camp

Last week Ruma J went on an overnight camp in lake kaniere lodge my favorite part was when we had a pillow fight and I thought it was interesting that the lodge had THREE stories here is a recount video of the experience.

Bottle top art project.

For this year we have been doing an art protect. At school we had a garden with a bear fence around it so Ms G and Ms H decided to brighten it up. So our first idea at the start of the year was to paint flowers on to the fence, then Ms H thought that bottle tops would be a great idea and we all agreed. We started looking at pictures and videos for inspiration we also thought we should make it so that our bottle top art related to the garden because we were decorating the garden fence. Then we started coming up with ideas about what our art would look like my idea was a kea. after that Ms H measured out paper that would be the same size as the plywood boards that we would stick the bottle tops on to so that we could plan our design the exact size that it would be. So after that we sketched our design on to the paper. once we had finished planning our design we painted the plywood boards so generously given to us by IPL for FREE. There were four different color paints we painted the boards with they were: orange, green, blue and black. After the boards were painted we started to glue the bottle tops on. Once we had done that we started to draw zentangle around our design. We had then finished here is my final product.

After we had done our own design the year fives and sixes did the created bottle top art in groups with the rest of the school Toby and sky were in my group and we made a kiwi here is there final product.

My favorite part was when we glued the bottle tops to the boards it was my favorite part because it was the most active part. My least favorite part would have to be planning our design. The most interesting part probably was the finding all the right bottle tops for our piece of art.

Overall I think this bottle top art project was fun, enjoyable and a really good idea!

Rad Rhythm-pots and pans

                                           

Last week and the week before we were doing drum sequences to enter a competition that Rad Rhythm was hosting. Rad Rhythm is a company that teaches kids to drum. I did my sequence with Jaymin. sadly I was sick on the day and Jaymin could not make it the  next day so I did not get to enter. When me and Jaymin were coming up with sequences we named the pots. the muffin tin was D, the big pot was A, the small pot was B and the tiny cake tin was C. Since we named the pots we could record our sequence on paper EG, A C A A C.
