We split into groups then we rotated around jobs on the boat my group started of at the group steering at the back of the boat and I learnt the the handle things on the steering wheel are for measuring the distance you turn after that our group rotated to the mainsail then the jib sail.

Weekend journal
On the weekend on Saturday lake Brunner sea scouts went to Lyttleton to sail a ketch. a ketch is a sailing boat with two masts two jib sails one main sail and one mizzen sail. the hull is about the same size as a sloop.

We split into groups then we rotated around jobs on the boat my group started of at the group steering at the back of the boat and I learnt the the handle things on the steering wheel are for measuring the distance you turn after that our group rotated to the mainsail then the jib sail.
