Persied

This was a quick write done in five minutes, the word of the day was persied.

“Leave me alone, i’m about watch the lights in the sky” Pauline bellowed. “You need to get out of here, it’s a perseid” replied Tarsluf. “But what is that?” Pauline asks, “It’s a shower of meteors, and it is heading straight for us” says Tarsluf. Pauline was convinced of his mistake and they started to sprint. LA was growing ever further behind them but not by enough. When they reached 200 meters from the last building the first meteor hit. First came the red blur across the sky and the explosion as it impacted the ground, then came the sound. It was an ear splitting sound, the loudest thing any of them ever heard.
