Weekly weekend journal

On the weekend my friend came over for a sleep over at my house while my sister went to a sleepover at her friends house and my brother went on a cub camp. My friend had to leave a about half past two, my sister came back at 9:30 AM and my brother came back at about 3:30. My brothers camp was at the yacht club and there were only about 15 kids there. My sisters sleepover was because it was here friend's birthday.

Weekly weekend journal

On Saturday after I had my swimming lessons and my sister's hockey at five o-clock we went to my cousin's  engagement party. On the way there it was so foggy that we could only see a meter in front of us. The party was at a helicopter hanger in Ahaura and we got home at about half past 10. On Sunday I had my friend come over for the day for my birthday.

Weekly weekend journal

On Saturday I went to town to have my swimming lessons along with my brother while my sister did her hockey. Afterwards we went to my Nana's and grandad's house to revive an early birthday present.  I got a mbot add on pack which was what I wanted. After that we went to spieght's ale house to have lunch for my great Nana's birthday.  Then we went home and I constructed the mbot add on pack and put it on my robot.

Walls of China responce

Walls of China by Russel Drysdale is a painting of a dry, dead and lonely desert. It looks unearthly because of the hot maroon sky. There is a dead tree in the foreground and strange white mountains in the background, with another dead tree in the middle ground. It was painted in 1945 with oil paints on a hardboard.

Walls of China is a sad, lonely but amazing and well done painting by Russel Drysdale.

I like this painting because of how it makes me look closer. For example, when I see the tree in the foreground I also see a monster and when I look at the tree in the background I think it resembles a fish tail. I also see a basin like object in the background that I have never seen or heard of before.

This painting makes me feel sad and lonely, it also makes makes me feel like there is no hope left for anything I am doing. The barren landscape makes me feel lonely because of it’s vast emptiness. The dead trees make me feel sad because they are both dead, and both of them put together makes me feel like there is no hope because there is no life left on the desecrated landscape.

Overall Walls of China by Russel Drysdale is a sad, lonely but also an interesting and amazing painting that everyone should see along with all his other paintings. They all use the same colours and are quite mysterious. You can find an online gallery of his artwork at this website: https://www.artgallery.nsw.gov.au

Weekly weekend joarnal

on the weekend I started to make a bush hut out of some old wood. I did it with both my siblings and I made it at the end of my bush track that I still have to keep making. We are building the hut up against a pine tree. So far I have nearly got the very bottom of it done all I have to do to finish it is to find and nail a 220 cm long board on to the back of the building.
